Robert stands beside the very top of the pylon for scale. I've blurred his face, although perhaps he wouldn't have minded (I forgot to ask). This is a four photo composite that will be a lot harder to take when the scaffolds are removed.

AUGUST 2002 - I ascend Taney Bridge with the kind permission of Brian Bromwich of Luas. My guide and facilitator for the day was Robert, who also showed extreme generosity in terms of both time and information provided (thank you Robert!!!). These photos were all taken on site and show many fascinating details of the construction process, as well as the superb views from the top of the main support structure (regular photos of the trip are here). I was given a very full tour of the site, and I'm very pleased to be able to share it with you on these pages.
