stillorgan shopping centre 1

This is Stillorgan Shopping Centre in South Dublin, Ireland's first "real" Shopping Centre (1966 I think). It still has most of its 60's features, which we'll see in this bunch of photos.

This thing stands at the most prominent corner of the Centre. It's the most important part of the Centre's identity, and could be compared with the Giant Clock in the Stephen's Green Centre. The problem with Stillorgan SC is that all the branding has been there for longer than most people can remember, so people don't realise that this thing really is supposed to be important....
