A change from the norm. I was looking forward to this gig - it was the "Head Music" album tour. They were playing the Olympia and we (Dr. J and myself) were at the front. So the band came on, but Brett seemed a bit different from previous Suede gigs. He was extremely energetic, and gestured in reference to the song lyrics much more than normal. This strangeness, combined with a missing Neil Codling and a dodgy sound system, meant the evening was a bit below par. The sound issue may have been our position in relation to the PA, and Brett was probably just having a laugh, but I left wondering what they would be like the next time I saw them. Other people who attended were very happy with the gig. My brain wanted something else...
