This was Mr. Costello playing in the gentle surroundings of our National Concert Hall. Accompaniment was provided by Mr. Steve Nieve (his keyboardist from the Attractions) on a grand piano. This was a very nice concert. Elvis sang very well, and occasionally sang to us without using the microphone (an excellent thing to do). We left quite promptly after the gig. I heard afterwards that Elvis was out chatting at the bar, which upset Dr. J just a little (he's the real EC fan).
